Description
Zoom is an easy to use video conferencing platform that features screen sharing functions and allows for meetings of up to 100 participants. Instructors can share slides or their screen (to demonstrate software, etc.) and record class sessions to share with students. Students can join via software on their computer (for all features) or smartphone (some features not available), or they can just call-in to the conference for an audio-only connection. This type of software is useful for emergency online learning.
All Hofstra members have access to a Pro Zoom account, which allows meetings longer than the 45 minute limit imposed on free accounts.
