Description
The Arduino IDE is used for programming the Arduino (a line of single-board microcontrollers) and compatible development boards. The Arduino IDE is a fork of the Wiring language and Java-based IDE developed by Hernando Barragan, Casey Reas, and Ben Fry. Wiring itself builds on the Processing IDE framework, a project of MIT.
