Service

Service name: Big Data Lab ASA VPN
Division / Department: Department of Information Technology
Available to: Students and Faculty
Contact: help@hofstra.edu
Website: csvpn2.hofstra.edu

Description

A VPN connection is required for remote access to virtual machines, the Mac Minis, and other services of the Big Data Lab.

You must use the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client to connect to CSVPN2. You do not need to request access to use this VPN as Hofstra account holders (students, faculty, and staff) are automatically given access.

To connect to CSVPN2, open Cisco AnyConnect and enter the server https://csvpn2.hofstra.edu (you must type this exactly). When prompted, enter your username preceeded by “students\” or “employees\”, e.g. students\h702345678.

The Cisco AnyConnect client is already installed in the Open Access Labs.
