MATLAB is a multi-paradigm numerical computing environment and programming language for performing numerical computation, matrix manipulations, plotting functions and data, and implementing algorithms. MATLAB is used in the industry and academia for data analytics, computer vision, signal processing, machine learning, robotics, and control systems.
An additional package called Simulink adds graphical multi-domain simulation and model-based design for dynamic and embedded systems.
Current students can download and use MATLAB, Simulink, and add-on products on personal computers through Hofstra’s MathWorks Total Student Headcount (TSH) license.
